Many people are surprised to learn that the Big Bend has Florida’s highest food insecurity rate, and that four of the top five hungriest counties in Florida are located in our area. Everyone who wants to learn more about hunger in the Big Bend that impacts 150,000 of our neighbors–and 30,000 children, is invited to participate. Tours include a presentation, warehouse tour and complimentary lunch provided by Chicken Salad Chick. Registration required. RSVP to shari@fightinghunger.org.
