Our “Beyond the Box Chef Series” debuted in 2021 with several events hosted by Chef Leon Brunson and community partners. This series provides nutritional education opportunities for clients and community partners, and continues in 2022, with local chefs cooking food offered at our pantries, and developing recipes for our clients.

In other exciting news, Second Harvest anticipates building a demonstration kitchen as part of our new Community Impact Center. Here, we’ll host nutrition education events and cooking classes. Plans are developing now, and groundbreaking events will be announced at a later date.
