Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation’s Generous $10,000 Gift Fights Hunger with Second Harvest in the Big Bend!
June 15, 2024
At Second Harvest of the Big Bend, we are grateful to partner with the Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation in the fight against hunger. Through a generous contribution of $10,000, the Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation has enabled us to provide nearly 40,000 meals to families and individuals facing food insecurity right here in Leon County. This incredible support has helped us serve our neighbors in need with the nourishment they deserve during challenging times.
But the Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation’s support goes far beyond financial assistance. Sisters from the Alpha Gamma Delta chapter at Florida State University (FSU) have also become part of our mission through hands-on volunteerism. Every month, these dedicated women volunteer at our community garden or at the food bank, directly helping to prepare and distribute food to those in need. Their energy and commitment make a meaningful impact and bring our community closer.
Our partnership with the Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation and FSU’s Alpha Gamma Delta chapter is a true example of how charitable support, combined with hands-on service, can change lives. As we work to meet the growing needs of our region, we are deeply thankful for partners like Alpha Gamma Delta. Together, we are making a lasting difference in the lives of our neighbors across the Big Bend.
Thank you, Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation and Florida State University’s Alpha Gamma Delta chapter, for standing with us in the fight to end hunger.
