Second Harvest and our partners play an important role in the community all year long, but especially during the summer months, when many children who rely on school meals lose consistent access to nutritious food. This year, the challenges are being exacerbated by historic inflation and cuts to SNAP benefits.
Thankfully, supporting children and their families facing hunger is now easier than ever.
Instacart’s Community Carts, in partnership with Feeding America®, is a tool that lets you donate the exact food items your local food bank needs most. In just a few taps, you can donate to any one of over 100 local Feeding America® partner food banks across the United States, with delivery and service fees waived on every donation. Here’s how:
- Select Second Harvest of the Big Bend on Instacart’s Community Cart hub
- Shop from a list of much-needed items
- An Instacart shopper will deliver the items directly to us!
